How to stream music from the VLC app?

How to stream from VLC to Chromecast?

It’s a very easy process and doesn’t take more than 2 minutes.

  • Download the ‘VLC Chromecast Extension’. You may download it from the Google Play Store.
  • Once it is downloaded, install it and restart VLC Media Player.
  • Open the VLC app on your device and select the ‘Chromecast’ option in your app’s menu.
  • Find a Chromecast device with the extension installed on it, it will be listed as “Chrom” in your device’s devices list and you’ll see a yellow button labeled “Cast”.
  • Open a VLC media file, choose the music playlist you want, and cast it to your Chromecast by pressing the ‘Cast’ button on the remote.
  • Done. Sit back and relax listening to your music.
